Stormwatch: November 6

I was remiss in posting the precipitation total for Sunday’s storm: At juuuuuuuust a follicle under a full inch I’m gonna geek out and callit 31/32nds of an inch or 0.96875″, bringing our overall backyard rainfall since that first storm October 5 to be 6.28125 inches. Word is another storm might pass through Friday/Saturday.

Yesterday’s precipitation totals are in at a hair over an inch, as shown: I’m calling it 1.0625 inches or 1-1/16th for all you fraction fans. That brings the annual-to-date tally up near  5-1/3 inches or 5.3125 for all you decimal devotees. I should and will note that yesterday’s rain accumulation from whenever it started late …

Sky on Fire

Before dinner Susan wanted to grab some relaxation on the porch so we sat and enjoyed the sunset sky show courtesy the remnants of Hurricane Hilary that blew over the city. Of course I pointed the PEN E-PM1 camera that Olympus had sent me at the scene(click image for the bigger picture):
